Commercial renovation

Commercial fit-outs for shops, salons and public-facing premises

Commercial renovation must combine appearance with daily operation. Customer routes, staff areas, storage, lighting, ventilation, equipment loads, cleaning and maintenance access need to be resolved as one system. A delay in one specialist package can affect the opening date, so coordination and procurement are as important as the finish itself.

PNV Construction Group works on shops, salons, studios, restaurants, service premises and other commercial interiors. We can coordinate a complete fit-out or a defined package based on approved design documentation.

Key project issues

  • survey of the shell, incoming utilities and landlord restrictions;
  • planning of customer, staff, storage and service zones;
  • power, lighting, ventilation, air conditioning, water and drainage;
  • wet-area waterproofing, floor loads and equipment bases;
  • durable finishes suitable for traffic, cleaning and repair;
  • fire-safety interfaces, emergency routes and access to engineering systems.

Costs are calculated from the drawings and scope rather than from a single price per square metre. Two premises of the same area may require very different ventilation, electrical capacity, demolition and finishing work.

Related services include office renovation and design and project documentation. Selected work is shown in the renovation portfolio.

Preparing commercial premises for renovation

For a shop, salon or office, the brief starts with how the space will be used: the positions of equipment, furniture, workstations and visitors. The layout, lighting, electrical installations, plumbing and finishes need to follow one agreed design.

PNVTEAM’s material on shop and salon renovation describes a coordinator connecting the client, designers, trades and suppliers. The scope, materials and delivery sequence are agreed before each stage. Changes to the brief should also be reflected in the estimate and schedule.
